OUR STORY
In 2014, we looked around and realized two things: southern Ohio is severely under-served with respect to entrepreneurial resources; and the resources that are available, aren't connected or marketed well. This was only augmented by unemployment and low baccalaureate completion. We set out to change this issue with the development of the OCUBIC Initiative. Ohio Christian University led a public & private partnership to bring economic value to the region through the creation of new businesses, new jobs, and most importantly, an entrepreneurial ecosystem for support.
THE PARTNERS
Once the Vision was cast for what the OCUBIC could become and provide for the region, we started accruing partners from all across Ohio. Ohio Christian University remains the managing partner, but we've come to work closely with the support and resources of those around us.
THE FUNDING
As this was going to be a Public/Private Partnership, the funding for the facility came in similar fashion.
